ABC “No Worries, None” Scholarship
Remembering Marleh Lehmann, an ABC alumnus who tragically lost her life in January, 2021, ABC has established a continuing education memorial scholarship. Marleh was a member of ABC for four years. This scholarship will be awarded to previous Arrowhead Basketball Club members who graduate from Arrowhead High School. ABC will award the scholarship beginning with the 2022/23 school year and continue yearly. One scholarship will be awarded to a male AHS graduate; another to a female AHS graduate.
Eligibility requirements: The AHS graduates must have participated in ABC for a minimum of two years. Additional eligibility requirements must also include these three items:
-
a minimum of a 2.0 final, overall GPA from Arrowhead High School
-
a completed questionnaire (see below) submitted to ABC by the deadline for review
-
a letter of recommendation by the player’s ABC coach
Award amount: Each scholarship will be in the amount of $1000. This is a one-time amount given to the recipients to be used for their upcoming academic endeavors (tuition or school fees).
Award presentation: These scholarships will be presented at the respective AHS varsity basketball team season-ending banquet.
Evaluation, Selection, and Notification: An award selection committee consists of ABC board members and both AHS head basketball coaches. Should questions arise from applicant/parents, they would be directed to ABC for reply. The ABC Executive Director will send a letter to the award winners when chosen.
Scholarship Application Requirements: Must be mailed (postmarked) by March 1.
